US-China Tensions Escalate: Preemptive Sino-Russian Nuclear Strike Imminent?

As US-China tensions escalate, the Sino-Russian relationship is tightening—and their powerbase is expanding. The threat posed by these developments is being underappreciated by many Americans—including preppers. Are we on the verge of another Pearl Harbor or 9/11 event… but on a far more massive scale? Let’s explore the current global environment and see if the signs support a potential apocalyptic event for the US—a preemptive Sino-Russian nuclear strike on America.

We have asserted that judgment is coming for America—that she will suffer an unexpected, rapid, and catastrophic attack. A multitude of signs point to the imminence of this destruction. However, the question is how and by whom?

We believe it’s possible that this surprise attack will come from China—with the support of Russia and Iran. Before we make a case for how this could happen, let’s examine where we are… what the current state of affairs in the new cold war is.

US-China Tensions are Increasing Exponentially

The US has stepped-up its war—both rhetorically and literally—against China and the CCP since the relationship between the two countries peaked in January of this year. Just the past few weeks have seen the mood and tone change considerably.

James Palmer, in a brief for Foreign Policy, noted:

“Some Trump staff seem to think of reciprocal action as a goal in itself. If there is an end goal—other than a dubious election strategy—it may be to force U.S. companies into a position of such uncertainty in China that they begin decoupling from the country voluntarily. At any rate, expect the relationship to get much worse in the immediate future.”

The breadth, scope, and frequency of these actions should be alarming. For example, in just the past few weeks, the US has done the following:

• Effectively cut off trade talks
• Sanctioned Chinese officials over their internment of Muslims
• Issued a powerful, broad and far-reaching executive order (Executive Order on Hong Kong Normalization—7/14/20) in response to CCP encroachment in Hong Kong
• Disclosed plans to terminate visas for some Chinese students in the US
• Restricted Chinese journalists
• Closed a Chinese diplomatic compound in Houston
• Indicted multiple Chinese foreign nationals on espionage-related charges
• Vowed retaliation for Beijing’s handling of Covid-19
• Warned of a coming ban on social media app TikTok—owned by a Beijing-based company and controlled by the CCP
• Raised the prospect of action against WeChat as well—a popular Chinese messaging app

The New York Times has also reported that the administration has drafted an order to ban members of the CCP and their families from traveling to US—a move that some experts estimate could bar roughly 10 percent of the Chinese population from American soil.

Regarding the immediate closure of the Chinese consulate in Houston, the State Department stated the closure was “to protect American intellectual property and Americans’ private information.” And Senator Marco Rubio, (R-Fla.) tweeted that Houston’s Consulate General of China a “central node” of a “vast network of spies.”

United States Defense Secretary Mark Esper has gone on the offensive, pushing for a stronger allied effort (especially from Asian countries) to challenge China. Many such countries have already gotten onboard to some degree, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei and Vietnam—all nations with claims in the South China Sea, most of which China claims exclusively as its own sovereign territory.

Esper accused Beijing of bullying nations around the Pacific, depriving countries with claims in the South China Sea of fishing rights and trillions of dollars of oil and gas revenue. He also accused China of “brazen disregard of international commitments,” adding, “Make no mistake, the CCP has been engaged in this sort of behavior for many years. But today, its true intentions are on full display for all to see.”

U.S. Increases Projection of Military Force towards China

Meanwhile, behind all the rhetoric, the US has been rattling more than just words—it has been projecting its massive military strength for China to see.

In the Philippine Sea, the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan and its strike group were joined by Australian and Japanese warships for joint exercises.

And in the Indian Ocean, the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group teamed up with four Indian warships to practice communications and air defense drills.

Again, this represents a developing US axis—including the UK, Canada, Australia, India, and a growing list of Asian nations.

Importantly, Esper stated, “I want to highlight our increased defense cooperation with India, one of the all-important defense relationships of the 21st century.”

India is rapidly becoming a key US ally in the emerging cold war—and a major threat (or at least thorn in the side) of China.

While we should all be well aware of the escalating cold war between China and Australia and the increasing border hostilities between India and China, we should also take note of the UK government’s increased role as well.

The UK government just suspended its extradition agreement with Hong Kong (joining the US, Australia, and Canada). This falls on the heels of their decision to strip Chinese telecom Huawei from any future role in the country’s 5G network, as well as their move to extend their Chinese arms embargo that was established in the wake of Tiananmen Square massacre to now include Hong Kong.

Chinese Response to Anti-Sino Actions & Sentiment

On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a press conference, according to the state-run Xinhua news service, “The international community knows well who is the troublemaker.” He directly accused Washington of harboring “a Cold War mentality” against China and only abiding by international laws and treaties that advanced its policies.

Following the US announcement to immediately (within 72 hours) close their Houston consulate, a spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry said China would “react with firm countermeasures” if the United States does not revoke the decision.

Regarding the UK actions, their moves elicited strong warnings of consequences from China’s ambassador to the UK, as well as from multiple sources in the CCP. Hu Xijin, the editor-in-chief of the Global Times, a hawkish state mouthpiece, stated, “The UK has been increasingly controlled by the US and more reliant on Washington.”

Just as we are seeing the development of a US axis in the emerging cold war, we can see the same on the other side.

Tom O’Connor Newsweek notes:

“Russia and China have in recent years forged an increasingly tight strategic partnership involving energy, economics and defense. This relationship has the potential to reshape the international balance of power and has raised deep concerns for Washington.”

And now, we see Iran joining the party—creating a three-headed monster.

O’Connor reports that “Iran is seeking to extend a 20-year deal with Russia at the same time that the Islamic Republic negotiates a quarter-century agreement with China, signaling a new push to establish an international coalition against U.S. economic and political pressure.”

Iran has called on Russia and China to form a new alliance to finally “overcome” American unilateralism and hegemony as global tensions reach a level not seen since the last Cold War.

Again, O’Connor—joining a growing chorus of voices—warns that “the interests of Tehran, Moscow and Beijing appear to be converging in a way that experts say could prove a challenge to the United States’ attempts to maintain dominance over international order.”

The developing strength of this emerging axis was demonstrated late last year, when Iran joined Russia and China for an unprecedented series of naval exercises in the Indian Ocean in spite of high tensions in the Persian Gulf.

And then there is the concerning developments regarding Russia.

Tensions are heating up along the border between Russia and western Europe, with Russia now warning that “it will retaliate if the U.S. military conducts movements along Russia’s borders with member states of the NATO Western defense coalition.”

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko stated, “If any reinforcement would be deemed necessary, then, of course, all necessary measures will be taken.”

Grushko added, “Sometimes, during talks with our colleagues, they hint that our response must be symmetrical.” However, he stated this was absurd and foolish, warning, “No, we will do what we want; it will all comply with the obligations we have taken upon ourselves.”

Tensions are also running across the Baltic and Black Seas of Eastern Europe as both Russia and NATO (Operation Sea Breeze 2020) hold exercises in the Black Sea.

And then there’s the recent developments regarding the space front…

On Thursday, US Space Command stated that it has evidence that Russia tested a space-based anti-satellite weapon last week, revealing that Cosmos 2543, a Russian satellite caught tailing a US spy satellite earlier this year, released some sort of projectile into orbit.

General John Raymond, commander of US Space Command, stated, “The Russian satellite system used to conduct this on-orbit weapons test is the same satellite system that we raised concerns about earlier this year, when Russia maneuvered near a US government satellite.”

The new Defense Space Strategy identifies Russia and China as “the most immediate and serious threats to US space operations” and US Space Command has—especially given that the US relies on satellites for everything from GPS navigation to overseas military operations—warned that “the threats to US and allied space systems are real, serious and growing.”

China Nuclear Capabilities: Upgraded Ability to Strike America

Does China have the nuclear capability to strike the US in a preemptive attack?

Just last year, China revealed its most advanced nuclear weapon at the National Day military parade held in Beijing on October 1, 2019. The large, heavily-MIRVed DF-41 mobile intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is capable of striking the US homeland with multiple (estimated at 10-12) nuclear warheads.

Richard Fisher, a Senior Fellow on Asian Military Affairs at the International Assessment and Strategy Center, asserts that a typical Second Artillery Corps unit has 12-24 DF-41 missiles per unit. If a missile had 10 warheads, that would give a single SAC unit the capability to target the contiguous United States with 120-240 nuclear warheads.

Mark Schneider, a Senior Analyst with the National Institute for Public Policy, aptly notes:

“In 2006, China said that it was ‘progressively improving its force structure’ of both nuclear and conventional missiles. This is exactly what has happened. This expansion of Chinese nuclear capability has occurred despite the fact that the U.S. drastically reduced its nuclear capabilities after 2001. China’s nuclear buildup must be viewed in the context of the largest and longest sustained military buildup in the post-Cold War world.”

He points out that, dating back to 1982, Deng Xiaoping (Mao’s successor) stated that China should “…hide our capabilities and bide our time.” To which Schneider adds, “This may be a good description of Chinese policy when it comes to revealing its nuclear capability. Its objective would appear to be to hide its capabilities to achieve strategic surprise and minimize the risk of a U.S. response to its nuclear buildup.”

A 2017 National Institute for Public Policy (NIPP) report points out, “The Obama Administration estimated that China has several hundred nuclear weapons, but other estimates place the number much higher.”

Additionally, China has reportedly constructed at least 5,000 km of deep tunnels (referred to as the ‘Underground Great Wall’)—tunnels that provide protection for their mobile ICBMs.

According to the 2019 Defense Intelligence Agency report on “China Military Power”, “China is developing a new generation of mobile missiles, with warheads consisting of multi­ple independently targetable reentry vehicles (MIRVs) and penetration aids…”

Schneider concludes:

“China is expanding its nuclear capability which is what one would expect from a country that is preparing for a major war in Asia on the assumption it will have to fight the U.S. We face a very serious threat from China and its growing nuclear weapons capability is a key component. We may face a nuclear threat from China which is significantly greater than what most U.S. analysts will admit… [and] makes the confrontations that it is deliberately generating very dangerous.”

China EMP Capabilities: Able to Launch Massive “Pearl Harbor” Attack on America

In June, the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security issued what should be a highly concerning report (and a wake-up call) on China’s ability to conduct an Electromagnetic Pulse attack on the United States.

Dr. Peter Pry, executive director of the task force, stated that the key takeaway from the report is that “China now has super-EMP weapons, knows how to protect itself against an EMP attack, and has developed protocols to conduct a first-strike attack, even as they deny they would ever do so.”

According to the findings in the report:

• China has the most active ballistic missile development program in the world.
• China utilized stolen American technology to develop at least three types of high-tech weapons to attack the electrical grid and key technologies.
• China now has the capability to conduct a surprise “Pearl Harbor” attack—one that could produce a deadly blackout over the entire country.
• China has deployed a network of satellites, high-speed missiles, and super-EMP weapons—a bag of tools that could “melt down our electric grid, fry critical communications, and even takeout the ability of our aircraft carrier groups to respond.”

In the report, Pry asserts that they found China is eager to shoot first with “high-altitude electromagnetic pulse,” or HEMP, weapons launched from satellites, ships and land, adding:

“China’s military doctrine—including numerous examples presented here of using HEMP attack to win on the battlefield, defeat U.S. aircraft carriers, and achieve against the U.S. homeland a surprise ‘Pearl Harbor’ writ large—is replete with technical and operational planning consistent with a nuclear first-strike.”

American Apocalypse: A Potential Sino-Russian Scenario for Surprise Attack

Again, as we discussed at length in our article Mystery Babylon—God’s Judgment on America Forthcoming?, we propose that America will be judged by God and utterly destroyed within a single day—in the span of an hour.

This judgment will be unexpected, sudden, immediate, and unstoppable. Furthermore, it is imminent—can happen at any moment based on God’s prophetic plan and timetable.

It is more than likely that such an attack would have to come from China—with the assistance and support of Russia (and to a lesser extent, North Korea and Iran).

How is that possible you may ask?

We are backing China into a corner—like a caged animal. Now, they have put themselves into that position by their own ungodly actions, beliefs, and behaviors. However, that doesn’t change the price of tea in China… they are increasingly being caged and provoked into taking action.

China is not stupid. They are a master military strategist—with skills honed through the rise and fall of empires over the span of multiple millennia. They understand they can’t win a conventional confrontation with the military might of America and her allies. I have to believe that they realize and fully understand that their path to survival and world dominance will require an early surprise attack that massively denigrates our capabilities.

Neither is China or Russia conciliatory. The more they are pressured, the more defiant and aggressive they become. Any belief that outside pressure will cause them to “see the light” and change their thinking and behavior is as naïve as it is irrational. They are extremely prideful nations that will respond—in a manner of their own choosing and timing—to challenge and insult with aggression and the full, unwavering intent to utterly destroy their opponent.

When you find yourself facing an overpowering bully, you don’t meet them in the schoolyard for a face-to-face fight. Rather, you preemptively strike them when they don’t expect it and you take them out.

As China sees the opposition’s power beginning to mount around and against them, they certainly must understand that the time for such a move—a preemptive strike to circumvent a long, drawn-out, head-to-head battle they likely couldn’t win—is rapidly dwindling.

I would posit that they believe (and God will convince them of it) that just such a move could work under a scenario along the lines of:

• Russia strikes our satellite network—knocking our communications and tracking system offline.
• China utilizes weaknesses in our computer networks—discovered and/or created during decades of hacking—to knock more critical systems and infrastructure offline.
• EMPs and/or HEMPs are detonated over the US to further degrade our command and control capacity—launched from satellites or hyper-sonic missiles.
• Russia mobilizes on the Eastern European borders to thwart NATO support of the US.
• China launches nuclear ICBMs (DF-41s) against key targets in the US—which could be in the hundreds.

All of this would happen quickly and without warning. Within one hour, the world power formerly known as the United States of America would cease to exist. And our allies would be powerless to assist—they will run for cover and think to themselves, “Sucks to be you… we must now focus on taking care of ourselves.”

Once our “eyes” are taken out in an instant, China could drive their mobile DF-41s right out of their tunnel network for launch without us having any idea it was happening. And there is the potential for Iran and North Korea to be utilized regionally to provide additional distractions and chaos.

Remember, this will be a supernatural judgement—it will work because God (as He has done throughout history) will use these evil states as a tool to carryout His judgement. It doesn’t matter how great our military is or how comfortable we are in our own security—God’s will always prevails.

No matter how great a system is… it always has weaknesses and vulnerabilities. I would argue that ours has two: (1) our computer infrastructure and (2) our dependence on satellites. Hit those two areas and the rest of the house—no matter how impressive it appears—will collapse… at least long enough to enable an undetected preemptive EMP/nuclear strike.

Like watching a giant chess board, you can see the pieces moving into place… and it is happening very quickly. China is rapidly finding itself in a position where it will only see one move that will provide a high-probability win condition—a preemptive strike on America.

And Russia will be all too happy to provide a little background support to help make it happen. After all, Richard Fisher also warns that “there are new concerns that growing Chinese-Russian military cooperation included coordination on strategic nuclear warfare.” They will (or already have?) game-planned this out together.

Finally, there will likely be some degree of support from other members of the Sino-Russian axis—namely, Iran and North Korea. Iran will likely stir things up in the Middle East region to provide more smoke and distractions. North Korea could target regional American assets, Japanese assets and, ultimately, the west coast of America.

Even if North Korea’s long-range missile tech fails, it will add to the confusion and make it even harder for America to sift through what is going on. Here’s a video from only a little over two years ago by Business Insider that casts some light on their potential nuclear capabilities:

Conclusion

Tensions between the West and China (and Russia) are ratcheting up tremendously. By the grace of God, we managed to escape the Cold War without an apocalypse—be design or by accident. Sadly, God’s grace will not be upon America this time. Rather, our nation will feel the pain of His wrath and judgment.

China—with the support of its evil axis (viz., Russia, Iran and North Korea)—will be moved by God to launch a preemptive strike against America. It will be unexpected, immediate, unstoppable, and comprehensive in its destruction.

The time to prepare is rapidly coming to an end. The apocalypse is coming. The destruction of America (the economic Babylon) is on our doorstep and will usher in the start of the Tribulation period.

While this is certainly disconcerting news, there is also great news…

God does not intend for His children (true believers in Christ) to go through His judgment or be subjected to His wrath. He always provides an ark for those willing to enter it and be rescued!

Jesus Christ is our Ark. As the bombs reign down, those on the Ark will be raptured up into the heavens to be with Christ.

Just as God called out to Noah, He is calling out to you right now: “Go into the ark, you and your whole family” (Genesis 7:1).

Don’t figure you’ll just wait for the rains (bombs) to begin falling before you head for the Ark—it will be too late. The doors will have already been shut in the blink of an eye.

“On that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened… On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark… Then the Lord shut him in” (Genesis 7:11, 13, 16).

And when he was shut in… all others were shut out.

Being physically prepared for what life can throw at us is important—God expects us to be prudent, responsible, and protect our family (or flock). However, it will NOT protect you (or them) from His coming wrath and judgment. You must be spiritually prepared! The only protection that will prevail is being on His Ark—to be in the body of Christ.

I encourage you to get onboard that Ark today—before the doors are shut and you are left behind. Don’t be a mocker, scoffer, or denier like those in the days of Noah.

How do you get on the Ark?

You must be righteous before God. That is the ticket to get onboard His Ark.

God told Noah to get on the ark “because I have found you righteous in this generation” (Genesis 7:1).

How do we become righteous before God? Through the blood of Christ—Who became a propitiation for our sin on the Cross.

Salvation is simple, but it comes only one way: through faith alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone.

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:4-9)

You cannot earn your way nor prep your way to righteousness before God my friend. We are all sinners and we have all fallen short of the perfection required by a just and righteous God (Romans 3:10-18, 23). It is a done deal—there is nothing we can do to undo it.

Only Christ can wash us clean and restore our position before God.

When you trust in Christ, God sees you in Christ—through His shed blood. As such, we are forgiven for all our sins (past, present and future) and become positionally righteous before Him.

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed… being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:21, 24-26).

Turn your heart to the God who loves you, who is calling out to you, who died for you, and who desperately wants you to be on that Ark! Place your faith in Christ today.
