Signs & Prophecies Emerging from Israel—Last Chance to Get Prepared?

We are seeing signs all around us that point to us being in the end times—that catastrophic events are about to take place in our world. In this article, I want to look at prophecies and signs from Jewish rabbis and religious leaders—specifically, Yitzhak Kaduri, Sasson Hai Shoshani, Yosef Berger, and Yekutiel Fish. If their prophecies and interpretations of signs are valid, then they are sending us a critical message: time is up and the rapture, tribulation, and second coming of Christ on all on our doorstep!

As preppers, we obviously want to be prepared—spiritually and physically—for the future. As such, we should be seeking to understand the times and discern where we are headed. I would suggest that great clues (insights) can be found by understanding the thoughts and messages of God’s people (the Jews) and chosen nation (Israel)—especially their interpretation of potential signs from God.

Now, I want to start by being expressly clear: These messages are NOT Scripture. We cannot receive them as we would the Word of God. They do not represent a primary source of revelation for us. However, there are a few reasons why they could be important (as a secondary or tertiary source of pertinent information), and we should at least consider them—withing the context of God’s Word.

God has always provided signs to His people—the nation of Israel (the Jews)—when He is ministering to them. As Christians living in the age of grace, we walk by faith alone—we do not seek nor need signs. However, the Israelites have always requested and needed signs (cf. Exodus 4:1-9; 1 Corinthians 1:22).

In our article Daniel’s 70th Week & Fig Tree Generation—Is Our Time Running Out?, we discuss the prophecies of Scripture—ones that clearly indicate God is preparing to return his focus to Israel in order to complete His redemptive work with them. If that’s the case (and that is clearly what His Word teaches), then we ought to expect that He would once again begin providing them with signs.

Thus, it is worth at least exploring what is going on with the Jewish rabbis and religious leaders. If we see a discernable move of God beginning to emerge within them, then that’s worth taking note of—it is like another piece of the prophetic puzzle.

Again, those prophecies and signs are not directly for the church or Christians. However, they can indirectly (when tested against Scripture) provide us with additional and valuable “intel” regarding where we are in the last days and what to expect in the near future.

God has always made Himself (and His plans and actions) unambiguously clear to the Jews—He practically writes things on a giant neon sign for them! As such, if He is beginning to prepare them for the coming 70th week of Daniel (the Tribulation or Jacob’s Trouble), then we would be wise to look for their signs—the signs He always provides them with.

Again (one last time), that doesn’t mean the rabbinical prophecies are true—they are not Scripture. However, it does provide us with a glimpse into the collective mind of the religious Jews in Israel and what they see, hear, feel, and understand about God and the times.

If God is getting ready to perform a mighty work with Israel, we should expect to see an exponential increase in the frequency and intensity of signs and prophecies within the nation—clues we could then apply to our own (Christian) understanding regarding the timing of events related to the last days (viz., the rapture).

With that said, let’s get into this and see if we can discern anything from Yitzhak Kaduri, Sasson Hai Shoshani, Yosef Berger, and Yekutiel Fish regarding where we are on God’s unfolding prophetic timeline…

Israeli Government—The Strange Election of the Twenty-Third Knesset

First, before we get to prophecies and signs, we need to establish some context. Specifically, we need to understand the strange situation with the ongoing election of the twenty-third Knesset (or Israeli government).

We find a very peculiar thing going on with the electoral process in Israel—it has failed to produce a functioning government (Knesset). For 22 election cycles, things have worked. However, when we got to the current election cycle, the process ground to a halt.

The first election took place in April of 2019. It failed to produce a functioning Knesset.

This required a second election in September of 2019. This attempt also failed.

Legacy Food Storage

A third election was then held in March of 2020. This attempt also failed to produce a functioning government.

However, out of this election, a temporary agreement was negotiated. The Israeli government is currently operating under a coalition agreement whereby the premiership is to rotate between Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz. Gantz is currently serving as the “Alternate Prime Minister” until November 2021.

Nevertheless, even this agreement seems to be rapidly falling apart!

As of late June, Al-Monitor reported, “Barely a month since the unity-coronavirus government was sworn in, signs are mounting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing the ground for its dispersal and for a fourth election.”

And the Israel Policy Forum writes, “the trauma of three successive campaigns in the space of eleven months means that every subsequent election is going to be numbered relative to the so-called ‘first election’ of April 2019. Now, Israel may be headed to a ‘fourth election,’ which could take place in November.”

Thus, we find that the Israeli government has attempted to form a functioning government three times, and it has—up until now—failed twice. Furthermore, it appears entirely possible that it will fail a third time and require a fourth attempt to do so.

With these peculiar facts understood, let’s take a look at some of the prophecies and signs coming from high-level religious rabbis in Israel…

Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri—The Return of the Messiah Is at Hand

Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri was a renowned Mizrahi Haredi rabbi and kabbalist who devoted his life to Torah study and prayer on behalf of the Jewish people. If—and I stress if—God was going to speak to His people in these last days, it is entirely appropriate that Kaduri might be one of His chosen vessels or mouthpieces.

Before his death, Kaduri had stated (and he was known for saying very little) that he expected the Mashiach, the Jewish Messiah, to arrive soon, and that he had met him a year earlier.

The rabbi said of the Messiah, “He won’t come and say ‘I am the Moshiach. Give over the rule to me.’ Rather the Kabbalists would discover the secret name [of Moshiach] among my ‘hidden’ words and the nation will push him to lead it.”

This is interesting and reveals three pieces of information:

  • The Jewish Messiah appeared to him
  • He expected the Jewish Messiah to arrive soon
  • He believed Israel was ready to embrace their Messiah & push him to lead it

Now, I think this is confirmed by Scripture in that it points to the very soon act of Israel to accept the false messiah (the Antichrist), who will offer them the peace needed to rebuild the Third Temple.

They know the time is at hand—they have longed for their Messiah to come and establish His earthly kingdom as He promised. The rejected Him the first time He came… and they will embrace a false messiah (the Antichrist) before they finally accept the true Messiah—Jesus Christ—at His second coming.

Daniel and the Apostle John clearly explain this unfolding process that will occur during the tribulation period (the time of “Jacob’s Trouble”) of seven years. I can’t go into all of this in this article; however, I encourage you to study it in Scripture.

The important point is that Kaduri—a high-level Jewish rabbi—believed the time is at hand and the nation of Israel is prepared to accept the “messiah.” Huh? Interesting.

Now, Kaduri died on January 28, 2006; however, we (and especially Israel) are learning some interesting things from him in the wake of his passing.

Recently, a hidden book written by Kaduri (And He Swore to Isaac) was found in the Kabbalistic school of Nahalat Yitzhak. In this book, Kaduri wrote:

“There will not be a government in Israel for an extended period and the various camps will be quarrel much without a decision on either side, and then, on Rosh Hashana (the Jewish new year) itself, they will fight in heaven, the holy side against the side of evil, and G-d and His entourage will decide between them. And this is all I can say, and from here I swore not to reveal more secrets and hidden things.”

Now, Kaduri wrote that this would occur around and culminate in 2020 (5780), which he referred to as the “year of corrections.”

When did Kaduri write this book? We don’t know for sure. However, he died in 2006… so, we know it was before that and we know he was discussing this very idea at least 40 years ago.

Rabbi Eliyahu Merav has revealed a conversion that occurred over 40 years ago between Rabbi Kaduri and some of his disciples—including Merav, who was a young man at the time and disciple of Kaduri.

He described a conversation, stating, “One day, he [Rabbi Kaduri] was taking questions and someone asked when the Moshiach (Messiah) would arrive and whether there were signs that would precede his arrival. The rabbi answered, ‘When there will be elections but there will not be a government.'”

He added, “No one understood him at the time, but this is really how it is with prophecy; you don’t understand it until it happens.” It would certainly appear that it is happing now and what couldn’t be understood is being made clear.

He predicted a very similar—and highly peculiar—time to that which is occurring at this very moment in Israel. A period during which there would be “no government in Israel for an extended period of time” and “the various camps will quarrel much without a decision on either side.” This is precisely what has and is happening.

Coincidence? Maybe. Or, is it God once again beginning to speak to His people?

Even more interesting, he points to Rosh Rosh Hashana (the Jewish new year) as the time at which God Himself will make a decision—He will implement a “correction.”

Why is this interesting from a Christian perspective? Because Rosh Hashana is also known as the Feast of Trumpets—one of three feasts yet to be fulfilled by Christ and the one most associated with the possible rapture of the church… the bride of Christ.

Is it possible that on the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashana), Christ will rapture His church and God will begin His work with the nation of Israel—both implementing a “correction” that will lead to the embracing of the false messiah (the Antichrist) and the beginning of the final week of Daniel?

[Note: Scripture teaches that, at the midpoint of the Tribulation, the Antichrist (the false messiah whom the Jews will embrace) will set himself up as “god” in the rebuilt Third Temple—at which point, they will realize they were deceived and they will finally turn to the true Messiah that will return at the end of the seven years.]

Huh? Interesting.

Rabbi Sasson Hai Shoshani—Jacob’s Trouble Is at Hand?

Now, in that book, Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri also referenced excerpts from the ancient book The Covenant of the Persimmon by kabbalist Rabbi Sasson Hai Shoshani, who Kaduri said was known as “The prophet of Egypt.”

Specifically, he quotes Shoshani as writing:

“There will come on the day that two ministers win the government in the land of Israel. Both their names will be Benjamin and neither of them will succeed in establishing their government or kingship. On that day, know and understand that the King Messiah already stands at the doorway and on the Sabbath afterwards he will come and be revealed. Understand this and remember it.”

Just like with Kaduri, there are three points we can conclude from Shoshani:

  • When we see this happen (i.e., no functioning government), we should know the appearing of the Messiah is at hand—He is “stand[ing] at the doorway.”
  • He prophesied that both of the ministers vying to lead the government will be named Benjamin—exactly what we see today.
  • The Messiah will come on the following Sabbath—the end of the week (pointing to Daniel’s 70th week of seven years).

Huh? Interesting.

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish—Israel’s Redemption Draws Near

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish,  an expert in Jewish mysticism who blogs in Hebrew under the title ‘Sod Chashmal,’ stated that “the final redemption is very close indeed and that one clear sign that this is so will be when the second round of elections fail to result in the formation of a government.”

We see that a consensus is clearly emerging among the Jewish religious leaders—that the return of the Jewish Messiah is very close at hand. And, it all seems to converge on this period during which Israel will be without a functioning government—that which is happening now and has never happened before.

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish--Signs of the soon coming of the Messiah and the redemption of Israel

Rabbi Fish wrote this before the second round of elections failed… which we now know it did.

He based this on a section of the Talmud:

“The disciples of Rabbi Yossi the son of Kisma questioned him, asking when the son of David (the Messiah) will appear. And he answered: I am afraid you will request from me a sign as well. And they assured him that they would not. He then said to them: When this gate will fall, be rebuilt and fall again, be rebuilt again and fall again. And before it will be rebuilt for the third time the Messiah will appear.” (Tractate Sanhedrin, 78a)

Rabbi Yosef Berger, rabbi of the Tomb of King David on Mount Zion and a direct descendant of King David, also noted that a failure to establish a new government was prophesied to precede the Messiah:

“The Davidic Dynasty will only be established after the ‘demeaning’ government ends. The Davidic Dynasty will not be established as a continuation of a bad government. If a government in Israel does not adhere to the Torah and act as the means to spread the light of Torah out to the nations, it must first fail, end entirely, and then a new ruler will arise who will establish the dynasty.”

Rabbi Fish explains that the term שער (gate) refers to government or leadership—specifically, to the government of Israel.

For example: “You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the Lord your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment” (Deuteronomy 16:18).

Again, Rabbi Fish prophesied: “When this gate will fall, be rebuilt and fall again, be rebuilt again and fall again. And before it will be rebuilt for the third time the Messiah will appear.”

In other words, an attempt will be made three times… and three times it will fail. Before a fourth attempt is made, the Messiah will appear.

Huh? Interesting.

We have seen three attempts made… and the real possibility the it will fail for the third time. Coincidence? Or, did God speak to His people to prepare them for the coming 70th week of Daniel?

Furthermore, if it does fail a third time, will the Messiah return before it can be reformed for a fourth time?

Again, we see a consistent theme of the soon appearing Messiah among these Jewish rabbis—all converging on 2020 and the inability to form an effective government in Israel.

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish—Signs of a Coming Apocalyptic Judgment

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish also wrote that the January 20 super blood moon, which marked the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat, was not merely an astronomical event but rather a sign from God to Jews in America (where it was visible):

“The lunar eclipse over North America bears a message for the US and the Jews. It clearly is telling the Jews that they need to come to Israel.”

He added that Western nations were about to experience a very challenging era, where there will be “great tragedies that will bring down governments and (create) great human suffering.”

Rabbi Fish has suggested that both President Trump and former President Obama have “caused massive shocks which will prepare the stage for the coming of the messiah to the people of Israel, who will redeem the whole world.”

Rabbi Fish asserts that the Super Blood Wolf Moon was a sign of impending judgement on America and the world... and the soon coming of the Jewish Messiah.

Huh? Interesting.

All of this is consistent with our article Mystery Babylon—God’s Judgment on America Forthcoming?, which suggests Scripture is pointing towards a forthcoming judgment on and destruction of the nation.

It is also consistent with recent statements by Rabbi Daniel Asor, who has predicted the war of Gog and Magog is imminent and will include a US war against China and Russia. To learn more about this Jewish rabbinical prophecy, I encourage you to read our article Jewish Anticipation Grows—Rabbi Asor Says Coming of Messiah at Hand?

Has God provided a sign to the Jewish rabbis so they can warn the Jews in America to quickly return to their Land… and escape a coming apocalyptic event?

Dov Bar Leib—Netanyahu Will be the Final Leader of Israel?

Dov Bar Leib has noted that “many prophecies indicate that Netanyahu will be the last leader before the Moshiach arrives,” adding, “The one who ushers in Moshiach must be from the House of Nathan.”

He was referencing the 12th chapter of the Book of Zechariah:

“And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves” (Zechariah 12:12).

In this passage, God is speaking of the nation of Israel at the moment it recognizes the true Messiah—Jesus Christ, whom they crucified when He came to them the first time.

Furthermore, this text continues—indicating that the leader who ushers in Messiah must also be a Levite:

“The family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves” (Zechariah 12:13).

Interestingly, Netanyahu’s grandfather, Benzion Mileikowsky, changed his family name to Netanyahu after making Aliyah (returning to Israel) from Poland.

This is critical because no one knew Netanyahu was a Levite until 2011 when, during a Likud conference in Tzfat (Safed), he announced that he was a Levite and read the appropriate portion of the Torah reading.

Furthermore, Bar Leib also refers to a period of transition in which the Messiah will be presented and accepted by the nation. Referring to Psalms 90:10-11, he has noted, “God gave us 80 years to bring redemption through natural, even political means. Now, he is showing us that politics didn’t work and he will take over.”

We frequently reference this divine measure of a biblical generation—tying it to Jesus’ Fig Tree Generation. Interestingly, Bar Lieb ties it to Hitler’s invasion of Poland, while we believe it actually ties to the formation of the Israeli government on May 14, 1948.

Is Netanyahu going to be the final Israeli Prime Minister before the return of Christ? What is interesting is that a lot of religious Jews have tied this to Scripture—and it all ties to recent signs and prophecies within God’s people and chosen nation.

Conclusion

As we’ve seen from Yitzhak Kaduri, Sasson Hai Shoshani, Yosef Berger, and Yekutiel Fish, there is a growing consensus among the religious Jewish rabbis and leaders that the time has come for the revealing and embracing of their Jewish Messiah.

Furthermore, they are warning of dire catastrophes in America and around the world.

Am I saying these prophecies are valid? No.

Am I saying God directly spoke these things to the rabbis? No.

But what I am saying is that we have to at least consider that very possibility—that they are, and He did. This is especially true if we believe He is about to resume his redemptive work with His people and chosen nation. If that is the case, then He would absolutely begin to speak to them and provide them with signs.

At the very least, they indicate that the religious faithful in Israel are corporately becoming intensely focused on God and the soon (very soon) arrival of their Messiah—marked from their perspective by the peculiar inability of the Israeli government to form a functioning government.

When you factor this into the virtual cornucopia of Scriptural indicators, including these:

  • We are at the very end of Jesus’ Fig Tree generation
  • We are at the very end of six days (6,000 years) of history
  • We are at the very end of two days (2,000 years) of the church age
  • We are at the very end of the 483-year timeframe for a dual fulfillment of Daniel’s 69 weeks
  • The Temple is ready to be rebuilt
  • The Alter has just been dedicated—the first step to rebuilding the Temple (cf. Ezra & Nehemiah)
  • There are two viable Red Heifers ready to sanctify the coming Third Temple
  • The peace plan necessary for the rebuilding of the Temple was introduced in January of this year by President Trump (and judgment has been poured out on America since)—it only needs to be confirmed by the coming Antichrist

When you factor these all in (and these only represent the proverbial tip of the iceberg), we must ask ourselves: Are we out of time? Is the Lord coming back very, very soon?

God is a God of (1) math (numbers) and (2) punctuality. He has declared a very detailed and very specific timeline for history (His story). He has declared the end from the beginning. If He has fulfilled everything up to this point with 100 percent accuracy and precision, then should we not expect Him to do the same with His remaining, unfulfilled prophecies?

I can’t answer that question for you… you must come to your own conclusion. I am merely trying to share interesting information that is related to the question. You must study the Word of God and search your own heart to arrive at a decision regarding (1) who you say Christ is and (2) where we are headed in this world.

However, if He does… If Christ’s return is on the doorstep, then you have two options:

  • Place your faith in Christ and (1) receive eternal life and (2) escape the Tribulation when Christ delivers (raptures) His church from the coming wrath of God, or
  • Don’t trust Christ and be subjected to (1) eternal damnation and (2) seven years of hell on earth… seven years you are highly unlikely to survive.

That’s the great news… the blessed hope we have in Christ! You don’t have to fear the future or experience the apocalypse! You have a choice!

How do you receive salvation—eternal life with God?

It’s simple—call on the name of Christ and you are saved!

“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved” (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13).

Salvation comes but one way… through faith alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:4-9)

Have faith that, while you are a sinner and worthy of eternal damnation, Christ died on the Cross as a propitiation for your sin (past, present, and future) so that God could justly, righteously, and graciously offer you the free gift of salvation—redemption based on the shed blood of His beloved Son Jesus Christ.

We are all about prepping. We should strive to be prepared for emergencies. We ourselves are in the path of Hurricane Isaias at this very moment—and we are prepared.

However, physical preparedness will not get you on the Ark that is Jesus Christ nor will it lead you to salvation (spiritual or physical) during the tribulation period. Only spiritual preparation (faith in Christ) will deliver you from that apocalyptic period of time and the fate that awaits all unsaved men—eternity in hell.

You cannot earn or work your way to salvation… nor will all the physical prepping in the world provide it for you.

I encourage you to invest as much effort in your spiritually preparation as you do for your physical prepping… before it’s too late and the doors of the Ark are slammed shut and your fate is sealed.

Time is up… don’t procrastinate! Make the decision to place your faith in Christ today!
