Recently, President Trump announced that he had brokered a peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)—named the Abraham Accord. While many—including a surprising number of “Christian” conservatives—have welcomed the announcement as a good thing and put their stamp of approval on it, we will show why this is a very BAD deal for both Israel and the world—it has moved us shockingly close to war in the Middle East and the start of an apocalyptic period of destruction.
I fully understand that what I am about to say will not be popular with many preppers who hold President Trump in high esteem—as a kind of savior for our country. However, I ask that you thoughtfully read this, consider the facts presented, and honestly test your own beliefs and presuppositions against Scripture.
We all want peace and security. However, God has made it clear that this is NOT the way that it will be achieved. The Abraham Accord has greatly accelerated our path towards war, destruction and the coming Tribulation—a period of during which the judgment and wrath of God will be poured out on the world.
If you don’t plan to participate in the Rapture, then you may want to carefully consider two things: (1) your time to prepare is running out and (2) you will need far more preps than you could possible imagine to have any chance of surviving to see the other side of the coming apocalypse!
Make no mistake, an apocalyptic period is on our horizon… and it is now—based on the Abraham Accord—much closer than many understand or are willing to accept!
Avoid Deception: Be Not a Respecter of Persons
The Apostle James warns us not be a respecter of persons. He argues that when we do, we show partiality or favoritism and “become judges with evil thoughts” (James 2:4).
Rather, we must judge all things—including people—in accordance with God’s Word… meaning with impartiality.
By doing so, we guard ourselves against falling prey to the two greatest spiritual threats: seduction and deception.
Seduction can be defined as the process of deliberately enticing, persuading, inducing and/or leading a person astray so as to engage in a belief or course of action that is inadvisable or foolhardy.
Deception can be defined as the process of causing someone to believe something that is not true.
Typically, we are seduced by people we know are not good for us, while we are deceived by those in whom we errantly place our trust. In other words, seduction is an external threat, while deception is an internal threat.
This is a critical concept to understand because it is highly relevant to politics and religion. We typically are seduced (or led astray) by political and religious leaders that we know are wicked and untrustworthy—meaning, individuals we have identified as being our adversary or opposed to our views and beliefs. On the other hand, we are most likely to be deceived by those in whom we trust—folks we think are on our side and/or are looking out for our best interest(s).
I find that many Christians are placing an unhealthy level of trust in Trump. This is understandable given the wickedness of the political alternatives. However, that necessarily opens them up to being deceived even more.
We must be on continuous guard against deception and becoming a respecter of persons or platforms. Rather, we must test everything against the Word of God (I recommend reading our article Spiritual Prepping 101: Be Like a Berean & Test Everything).
I believe many well-intended conservatives are being deceived. Neither the Abraham Accord nor the Deal of the Century (Trump’s peace plan) that was announced at the end of January are “good” for anyone when they are tested against Scripture.
Let’s take a look at why I say this…
Truth: What Does God’s Word Say about Israel & Her Land?
God’s Word makes it crystal clear that the land belongs to Israel—and Jerusalem is His city. It is a unilateral and everlasting covenant from God Almighty—the Great I Am. Anyone who attempts to divide the land—HIS land—and take any part of it from His chosen people—the Jews—will face the judgment and wrath of God. Folks, it doesn’t get any clearer than that.
God, speaking through the prophet Joel, describes the last days when He will judge the nations based on their treatment of His people. He makes it clear that they will feel His wrath for dividing His land:
I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.” (Joel 3:2)
God again makes this point expressly clear when He declares through the prophet Zechariah:
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” (Zechariah 12:1-3)
In essence, God declares that if you divide My land… I will personally divide you—I will cut you into pieces!
The United States has always respected and defended Israel’s right to and ownership of their land. Despite our wickedness, God has always honored His word and blessed our nation for our support of His people and His land.
However, beginning in January with Trump’s Deal of the Century, America has utterly rejected God’s ownership of that land and His right to deed possession of it to Israel alone. We have shifted our position to that of two-state solution—a solution in which Israel must agree to drop all claims to certain parts of their land, including Jerusalem (God’s Holy City).
Let’s be crystal clear. Trump’s “Deal of the Century” is a land-for-peace deal—it divides God’s land, including His Holy City Jerusalem. Specifically, the “Peace to Prosperity: A Vision to Improve the Lives of the Palestinian and Israeli People” (as released by the White House in January 2020) states:
- “This Vision creates a realistic Two-State solution in which a secure and prosperous State of Palestine is living peacefully alongside a secure and prosperous State of Israel in a secure and prosperous region.” (p. 3)
- “Any realistic peace proposal requires the State of Israel to make a significant territorial compromise… ” (p. 8)
- “This Vision provides for the transfer of sizeable territory by the State of Israel—territory to which Israel has asserted valid legal and historical claims, and which are part of the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people…” (p. 8)
- “Jerusalem will remain the sovereign capital of the State of Israel, and it should remain an undivided city. The sovereign capital of the State of Palestine should be in the section of East Jerusalem located in all areas east and north of the existing security barrier, including Kafr Aqab, the eastern part of Shuafat and Abu Dis, and could be named Al Quds or another name as determined by the State of Palestine.” (p. 17)
- “The Israeli-Palestinian Peace Agreement will end the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, and end all claims between the parties.” (p. 38)
Folks, this is not a good thing! It should come as no surprise that, since the very moment this plan was announced, our nation has seen nothing but increasing judgement from God upon her.
Understand, Trump has done a lot of good things during his term in office. However, this act is a betrayal of our corporate pledge to be “One nation, under God.” It represents a rejection of and rebellion against God and His Word.
It is a final embodiment of Satan’s false Babylonian religion—one that declares “let us” build a better world and be our own gods (cf. Genesis 11:3-4).
Remember, man was commanded by God to spread out and populate the whole world following the Flood. The false Babylonian religion sought to rebel against that command and to rebuild the world as man saw fit—on the plains of Shinar. It is coming full circle and we are once again rejecting God’s command (to not divide His land that He gave to Israel) in a foolhardy attempt to re-build the world as we see fit. Not a good decision folks!
The Abraham Accord is merely a steppingstone towards the ultimate implementation of the “Deal of the Century” or Trump’s “Vision for Peace.”
Mystery Babylon: Abraham Accord Tied to One-World Religion
The disastrous “Deal of the Century” (i.e., land for peace) has now been followed up with yet another massive step in the wrong direction—the Abraham Peace Accord.
This peace agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel (though it will shortly be expanded to include most of the countries on the Arabian Peninsula) represents yet another move toward a one-world government and religion.
We will address the religious nature (a.k.a. Mystery Babylon) of this accord in our next article; however, for now, it is suffice to say that it is by no coincidence that the UAE was the first country to sign the accord—the very country that has been spearheading the Vatican and Pope’s implementation of “Chrislam” or the merging of Christianity (meaning the apostate Roman Catholic Church) and Islam into a false one-world religious system.
The UAE is a founding member of the Vatican’s Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and the location for the Abrahamic Family House—”a beacon of mutual understanding, harmonious coexistence and peace among people of faith and goodwill.”
The vision for the Abrahamic Family House—scheduled for completion in 2022—originated after the signing of the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayeb in February 2019 and it will consist of a mosque, church, synagogue and educational center to be built on Saadiyat Island, the cultural heart of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity specifically states:
On February 4, 2019, Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar met in Abu Dhabi to sign the Document on Human Fraternity—a joint statement calling for the reconciliation of people of goodwill in service of universal peace. That bold act inspired us. With the support of the United Arab Emirates, who themselves are deeply committed to harmonious coexistence through dialogue and understanding, we formed the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity.”
Why do you think it was named the “Abraham Accord”? Because they are attempting to merge the three major religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) together under the fountainhead of Abraham—arguing we are all the same!
Again, The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity declares:
While the vision [of the Abrahamic Family House] is emerging, what is certain is that it will be welcoming to believers of all Abrahamic faiths and all of mankind.”
Still not sure? Listen to what Ambassador Friedman stated at Trump’s press conference to announce the Abraham Accord:
President Trump: “I made clear that the problems of The Middle East can only be solved when people of all faiths come together… And I’d like to ask our ambassador, David Friedman to please explain why we’re doing and calling it the Abraham Accord.”
Ambassador Friedman: “Thank you Mr. President. And congratulations to you on brokering this historic peace agreement. Abraham, as many of you know, was the father of all three great faiths. He’s referred to as Abraham in the Christian faith. Ibrahim in the Muslim faith and Abraham in the Jewish faith. And no person better symbolizes the potential for unity among all these three great faiths than Abraham. And that’s why this accord has been given that name.”

Again, we will have much more to say on this in our next article. For now, let’s turn our focus to what this Abraham Accord means for the world moving forward.
Abraham Accord: What Does It Mean for Our Future?
God’s Word declares that the Abraham Accord has set the stage for the Tribulation period to begin—it marks the crossing of a proverbial “point of no return” and the acceleration of God’s unfolding prophetic plan for the world.
Specifically, it means that we are now on the threshold of two pivotal prophetic events: the fulfillment of Isaiah 17:1 and the war of Gog and Magog.
First, let’s address the war of Gog and Magog. This prophesied war is found in Ezekiel 38 and 39. It speaks of a certain group of nations attacking Israel—only to be supernaturally defeated by the very hand of God. This battle will set the stage for a seven-year peace treaty—a stronger and greater version of the Abraham Accord—ushered in by the Antichrist… and the start of the Tribulation period.
You can read Ezekiel to learn more about the invading forces; however, what I want to focus on a different aspect—one that demonstrates why the Abraham Accord is so important.
In Ezekiel 38:13, we read:
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?” (Ezekiel 38:13)
Here, God declares that several nations will passively protest this invasion. Note, they will not physically defend Israel; however, they will at least timidly “protest” it.
Who are Sheba and Dedan? They are the nations of the Arabian Peninsula—namely the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia (who is expected to join the Accord at any moment).
This is critical! Why will the UAE and Saudi Arabia “protest” this coming invasion of Israel?
Because they are parties to a binding peace treaty with her! Folks, this was not possible prior to the signing of the Abraham Accord… but all the chess pieces are now in place for the war of Gog and Magog—precisely as God said they would be!
Incidentally, Egypt and Jordan are strangely not included by God as part of these invading forces. Why? Because both nations have a standing treaty with Israel as well! Israel had signed peace agreements with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994. We are seeing the fulfillment of God’s Word before our very eyes.
Second, we can now expect to see the fulfillment of Isaiah 17:1—the utter destruction of the city of Damascus.
Damascus has become the hiding place of a tremendous amount of Iranian military power—and Iran is a principle leader of the Gog and Magog invasion. Israel—and the entire world—has known this for some time.
Iran and her allies in the region (the radical Muslim nations) are enraged over the UAE’s decision to enter into the Abraham Accord.
Why? Because none of them recognize the right of Israel to exist!
Prior to this accord, the United Arab Emirates did not officially recognize Israel as a sovereign nation nor did they have formal diplomatic or economic relations with her either. However, they have now broken the proverbial “dam” by formally recognizing Israel’s right to exist, and many other moderate Arab nations are all but expected to quickly follow suit.
Trump’s special envoy Brian Hook called the deal a “nightmare” for Iran and the Tasnim news agency, affiliated with Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards, called the accord “shameful.”
Ibrahim Kalin, the spokesperson for Turkey’s president (a member of the Gog-Magog coalition), warned that “History will definitely record the defeat of those who betrayed the Palestinian people and their cause.”
And Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denounced Israel’s accord with the United Arab Emirates, stating that the deal was a “betrayal of Jerusalem, Al Aqsa and the Palestinian cause.”
Rather than usher in peace, the Abraham Accord has created a dangerous spark in a powder keg.
God is going to use their rage and hatred to “put a hook in their jaw” and draw them out into an attack on Israel (viz., the war of Gog and Magog).
Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.'” (Ezekiel 38:3-6)
I believe that Israel will see the threat coming and, in an attempt to avert or thwart it, will launch an attack on Damascus and destroy the city.
However, this will only serve to enrage her enemies even more and the act will trigger the invasion—the war of Gog and Magog. God has made it clear that Israel will not be able to defeat her enemies by her own strength—victory will be achieved by the clear hand of God alone.
The Abraham Accord has set the stage. It represents a massive leap forward on God’s prophetic timeline. It will quickly trigger a number of apocalyptic end-time events:
- The Destruction of Damascus
- The War of Gog and Magog
- The Revealing of the Antichrist
- The Signing of a Greater and Superior “Abraham Accord”
- The Start of the 7-year Tribulation Period
- Severe Judgment on America
To learn more about the looming judgment on America, I encourage you to read our article Mystery Babylon—God’s Judgment on America Forthcoming?—this all ties into it.
Time Is Short—Get on the Ark!
We are on the doorstep of an apocalyptic period like the world has never seen. That’s the bad news.
The good news is that God has provided us with a way out—an ark by which to escape His coming judgment and wrath. He always provides an ark or escape for those who are willing to get onboard in faith.
In Noah’s day, it was a wooden ark. In our last days, it is the ARK—Jesus Christ.
The age of grace (a.k.a. the church age) is coming to a close. God’s focus is returning to Israel–“to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy” (Daniel 9:24).
To learn more about this transition, I highly recommend reading our article Daniel’s 70th Week & Fig Tree Generation—Is Our Time Running Out?
To accomplish this transition, Jesus will be removing the true church (those who have believed in Him) from the world in what is known as the Rapture. This event is imminent—it can occur at any time; however, it must occur before the start of the Tribulation period (a.k.a. Daniel’s 70th Week or the time of Jacob’s Trouble).
The Apostle Paul declared:
For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
When people cry out for peace and safety—a phrase being endlessly repeated with regards to the Abraham Accord, then Paul says destruction will suddenly come. Like labor pains, the signs of this coming destruction have been increasing in intensity and frequency. Our time is up. The Abraham Accord is a final sign that destruction is at the door and is about to suddenly come upon the world.
My friends, make sure that you are on the Ark today! We cannot count on there being a tomorrow—it has become that urgent. Do not procrastinate as many have done over the past years. Make your decision to trust Christ today.
Salvation comes but one way: through faith alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone.
A just and righteous God demands a blood atonement for sin. Christ lovingly and graciously shed His blood on the Cross for you—a propitiation for your sins (past, present, and future). It’s His blood (life) or your blood (life). That is the choice we all must make. Which will you choose?
I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world… But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:1-2, 4-9)
Despite the well-intentioned hopes of many conservatives and even Christians, the Abraham Accord is not a good deal—it is very BAD for everyone.
This peace treaty between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (with additional moderate Arab nations expected to join very shortly) has set the stage for the start of the last days—an apocalyptic seven-year period during which God’s wrath and judgment will be poured out on mankind.
Specifically, the Abraham Accord fulfills the prophetic prerequisites for the war of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 & 39) and points to the soon and sudden fulfillment of Isaiah 17:1 (the destruction of Damascus).
It represents a continued acceleration of events on God’s unfolding prophetic timeline—placing us on the very doorstep of a number of critical prophetic events:
- The Destruction of Damascus
- The War of Gog and Magog
- The Rapture of the Church
- The Revealing of the Antichrist
- The Signing of a Greater and Superior “Abraham Accord”
- The Start of the 7-year Tribulation Period
- Severe Judgment on America
If you are a prepper who believes you can survive this coming apocalypse, understand (1) your time to prepare is at an end and (2) it will require far more preps than you could possibly imagine!
As we always tell our readers, physical preps are important and wise. However, they will (1) likely be insufficient to ensure your survival during the coming Tribulation and (2) are absolutely 100% impotent to save your soul. Spiritual preparation always trumps physical prepping!
Place your trust in Christ first and get on the Ark… then work on your physical preps in case you need them in the days to come.
